There’s nothing that Rojo Robin likes more than a romantic story, and this wedding dress definitely has that! The parachute that saved American WWII pilot Maj. Claude Hensinger and kept him warm while he waited for rescue was used a few years later by his soon-to-be-wife Ruth as material for her wedding dress. Now housed at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, this is truly a wedding dress with a difference.
